Terms of sale

The terms on which Loris International supplies firearms, equipment and services.

Last updated 16 September 2026

Enquiry, not online sale

This website is a catalogue and enquiry service. No firearm, part or accessory is sold or paid for online. Every order is confirmed in writing between you and Loris International Trading Co (Pty) Ltd before any payment is taken.

Prices

Prices shown include VAT at the prevailing rate, or are marked "price on application". Prices are indicative until confirmed in a written quotation, and can change with exchange rates, import duties and manufacturer pricing. A quotation is valid for the period stated on it.

Licensing

Firearms are supplied only to holders of a valid licence or competency certificate, or by dealer-to-dealer transfer, in accordance with the Firearms Control Act, 2000. No firearm is handed over or dispatched until the required documentation is in order. Delays caused by the licensing process are outside our control.

Orders and deposits

Guns built to order may require a deposit. Deposits on bespoke or special-order items are non-refundable once the order is placed with the manufacturer, except where the law provides otherwise.

Availability and lead times

Stock and availability shown on this site are updated as items change, and each listing carries the date it was last updated. Lead times for built-to-order guns are estimates given by the manufacturer.

Delivery and collection

Firearms are collected in person at the showroom by arrangement, or transferred to a licensed dealer near you. Non-firearm items may be couriered at cost.

Services

Gun fitting and coaching are booked by appointment. Venue fees, cartridges and clays at third-party shooting grounds are payable separately unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
